Nomination Upload Rules

Before you upload your nomination, please review the following rules to ensure a fair, fun, and legal experience for everyone

  1. One Small Upload for You...
You may submit one photo per category:
    • Spaceships & Habitats
    • Crew & Passengers
    • Extraterrestrial Destinations
  2. Legal Submissions Only
While we know most people haven't flown to space (yet!), you may nominate photos taken by others-but only if the submission is legal. That means:
    • The image is in the public domain (e.g. from NASA or ESA).
    • The image is shared under a Creative Commons license that allows reuse.
    • You have received explicit permission from the photographer.
    • You took the photo yourself and retain the rights to it.
  3. Attribution Matters
If the image is not your own, you must provide proper attribution. Include the name of the photographer, source (e.g. NASA, Flickr, Wikimedia), and license details (e.g. CC BY 4.0).
  4. Keep It Real, Keep It Respectful
No offensive, manipulated, or AI-generated images intended to mislead. We're here to celebrate real moments in the story of space.
  5. All Submissions Subject to Review
We reserve the right to disqualify any entry that violates these rules or doesn't fit the spirit of the contest.
  6. By uploading, you confirm you have the legal right to share the photo and agree to abide by these rules. Let the galaxy of great images begin!
